Legacy or Estate Gifts

Legacy or estate gifts reflect compassionate generosity and impact the health of future generations.

Grants

Grants are received from corporations or foundations to fund specific projects or initiatives.

Unrestricted Contributions

Unrestricted contributions are to be used where they are most needed while ensuring that the Foundation’s administration and infrastructure is in place to manage your gift so that it will achieve the greatest good for the people we serve.

Sponsorship of Special Events

Sponsorship of special events allows you or your organization to affiliate with a fundraising activity that is particularly meaningful to you.

Planned Giving, Legacy Societies, Named Endowments

Including the San Juan Medical Foundation in your legacy plan will ensure that the Foundation can continue its mission of enhancing the health and well-being of the Four Corners community.  Your future gift may provide unrestricted financial support, or strengthen a specific area of your own interest. These gifts have a lasting impact and inspire future generations.

 Ways to Give

There are many ways to make a planned gift to the SJMF that may provide benefits to you and the Foundation, including:

   • Naming the Foundation in a living will or trust

   • Designating life insurance proceeds or donating an insurance policy

   • Making the SJMF a beneficiary of your retirement plan, IRA, 401(k), or 403(b)

   • Establishing a charitable trust with the SJMF

   • Transferring real estate to the SJMF through a life estate

Myron & Revis Taylor Living Legacy Society

Established in 2005, the Myron and Revis Taylor Living Legacy Society recognizes all planned gift commitments (both revocable and irrevocable) including bequests, trusts, gift annuities, insurance policy awards, etc.  Society members are recognized in special publications and on engraved plaques at San Juan Regional Medical Center.

Named Endowments

An endowment fund is a protected investment principal in which withdrawals from the invested capital are used to support general operations, or a specific purpose. The SJMF offers many opportunities to contribute to existing endowments and to establish new named endowments. Gifts of $20,000 or more allow you to establish a permanent endowment fund to support a specific area of interest in perpetuity. Endowment funds may be named for the donor, or for someone the donor wishes to honor or memorialize, creating lasting and meaningful tributes.

Annual Giving Society

The Annual Giving Society honors and recognizes those whose annual giving is equal to, or exceeds $1,000.
