Cathy Lincoln Memorial Cancer Fund

Cathy Lincoln was a life-long San Juan County resident who many people knew as a devoted mom, loving wife and daughter and a compassionate nurse. Unfortunately, at the age of 39 Cathy was diagnosed with breast cancer. While working with her patients, she was saddened by the many women who could not afford the medical treatment needed when they’d been diagnosed with cancer. After her death, Cathy’s family, friends and co-workers started a fund in her memory to help other women.

In October 2001, the Cathy Lincoln Memorial Cancer Fund was established. This fund was created to benefit uninsured and underinsured women in San Juan County with necessary cancer-related diagnostic tests and treatment. Cathy strongly believed that early detection gives a person the best chance in surviving cancer.
