Dear Friends . . . .
The compassion and generosity you share throughout the year results
in many expressions of gratitude.
You consistently demonstrate that you care about quality health care services in our community.
Over the past 30+ years, you made it possible for the San Juan Medical Foundation to reinvest into our region, making the Four Corners a better place to live. Your gifts made these facilities and services possible:
⊲ San Juan Regional Cancer Center
⊲ Connelly Hospitality House
⊲ San Juan Regional Medical Center (SJRMC) Cardiac Catheter Lab
⊲ 3-D Mammography Upgrades at SJRMC
⊲ Pediatric Services
⊲ Cancer Walkathons
⊲ Cathy Lincoln Memorial Cancer Fund
⊲ Riley Men’s Health Fund
We are entering the time of year when expressions of gratitude are spoken and often demonstrated. It is the perfect time to count our blessings and to share gifts of hope and health.
Will you remember the San Juan Medical Foundation and give a year-end gift that will hold promise of a healthier tomorrow? Every contribution counts. Great things happen when we give out of gratitude for the wonderful community we call home. Thank you!
Best wishes for a happy, healthy and grateful holiday season,
Brenda Shepherd Rhonda Ledford
Executive Director President / Board of Directors
The San Juan Medical Foundation exists to serve alongside San Juan Regional Medical Center to enhance the health and well being of people in the Four Corners community.

Riley Men’s Health Fund
I recently retired from the San Juan Power Plant. There were changes in our insurance coverage and deductible amounts. My wife and I were sorting through the plan’s options and budgeting for medical bills.
I was very surprised when a representative from my doctor’s office encouraged me to apply for assistance from the San Juan Medical Foundation’s Riley Men’s Health Fund.
I filled out the simple application and was soon informed that the fund would help with expenses that insurance would not cover. I asked the Foundation to forward the check directly to my surgeon’s office., I was so relieved that I had one less thing to worry about.
Thank you for giving to the Riley Men’s Health Fund.
Connelly Hospitality House
Connelly Hospitality House is a place of healing. It is a place where one can work through the scary diagnosis of cancer and gain new perspective on options that are available.
I live in Lukachukai, Arizona with my wife and children. My wife had to stay in Arizona so the kids could go to school when I traveled to Farmington for my treatments.
Connelly House is so peaceful. I can rest here. My friend and caregiver is staying here with me. We like to sit in the library and work on puzzles. It’s relaxing and a good way to pass the time.
Receiving a cancer diagnosis is life-changing and is filled with fear of the unknown. It can feel like you’ve been given a box of puzzle pieces without a picture of the completed project.
Thank you for helping men like Arnold make the
San Juan Regional Cancer Center
From Carolyn: Cancer makes us think of what is really important in our lives. When we learn of so many survivors in every walk of life, we know that we
are not immune to cancer. It is encouraging to learn that most people live through it.
With early detection and advanced research, more people survive the many types of cancer that disrupt our lives.
From JoAnn: My heartfelt thanks to all the physicians, nurses and staff that had a part in my care. They saved my life and they will always hold a special place in my heart.
From Kathy: I am so thankful for the advancements in cancer care. This can be a time of self-reflection and true gratefulness for the blessings you receive. A positive attitude, a smile, and gratitude make a huge difference. Some days are better than others for sure, but the beautiful light at the end of the tunnel is truly amazing – JOY.
